Hello! I’m Wendy Hynes, I’ve been a professional interior designer for more than 25 years with project work from California to New England and points in between.
My whole life through I’ve been fascinated with space, light, and interior elements that influence our mood and behavior. I strive to design interiors that support, restore and inspire. I integrate details that seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor spaces and think strategically about focal point placement. It’s important to me that in every direction there is something that guides you through space, and that beauty surrounds you from every angle.
I have a bachelors degree in interior design from UW-Madison (go badgers) and a masters degree in architecture from the University of Michigan (go blue). I’ve also taught interior design at the college level for many years (go boilermakers, pointers, and cardinals) and published academic articles in interior design and environmental psychology.
In my downtime I enjoy traveling with my family and of course working on my house – it’s an occupational hazard.
Send me a message if you’d like to learn more about HDS and the services we provide.
Cheers!
Wendy
